The Bluebirds Spend a Day in Kansas City

After their flight to Kansas City the bluebirds were a little travel weary but excited to meet their new family. They quickly set out on adventures to discover their new lives.

Bluebird #102

The first little birdie was introduced to Herbie the Hippo.

Herbie turned out to be an angry hippo and scared the little birdie away. Not to worry though, she sent word that she is now living in Taiwan with two wonderful humans, Carolyn and Anthony.

Bluebird #95

When Momo met her new companion Allie,

she was disappointed that Allie was not edible.

But, making the most of the situation she spent the day showing her how wonderful it is to be a cat. They watched the other birds outside.

And, not having a live one available, they entertained themselves with Momo's toy mouse.

Bluebird #104

Wally wanted to show Otis a good time so they hopped in the car for one of Wally's all time favorite activities ever, the joy ride.

They needed groceries so they headed to the best grocer in town.

There they met a new friend, Bella the Boxer.

After such a full day they were wiped so they enjoyed a nap on the best part of the couch.

Bluebird #103

Milo followed his new dad, Colton, to work for a day of relaxation. After checking in at the front desk with Mendy,

Milo went on back for an adjustment.

He learned about human spines
and tried to see his own on the x-ray viewer without much luck.

Next he had an acupuncture treatment with Dr. Woodle.

Then he spent time with Megan doing exercises and stretches to keep his spine aligned.

Milo left feeling like a whole new bird!

Bluebird #101

Flora had a fun filled day at the Liberty Memorial and National World War I Museum with her mom Elizabeth.

She flew to the top of Liberty Memorial for a beautiful view of her new city.

She flew through the poppy fields representing the over 9 million lives lost in the war. She learned that there's one poppy for every 1,000 combat deaths.

She even learned about some of her distant cousins!

One by one the little birdies made their way to bed after their long and exciting days.

`They certainly had a lot to talk to each other about!
